Shellan Kinvig BSC Biochem, RMT, Cert LDT
Shellan graduated from University of Regina with a Bachelorette Degree in Biochemistry in 1996. Shellan continued her training and received her Registered Massage Therapy Certification in 1999 and has been a practitioner in Alberta ever since.
If you suffer from poor circulation, poor digestion, fatigue, poor memory, nervous exhaustion, hormonal issues, edema, poor skin, headaches, sinus congestion, allergies, asthma, bloating, anxiety, trouble sleeping, post surgical issues, post- cancer issues, muscle fatigue and pain, candida, heavy metal toxicity, varicose veins, excess weight, emotional blockages, these treatments would be an excellent benefit to you.
Her areas of specialty include neuromuscular therapy which is the utilization of static pressure on myofascial points to relieve pain. This technique manipulates the soft tissue of the body (muscles, tendons and connective tissue) to balance the central nervous system. In a healthy individual, nerves transmit impulses (which are responsible for every movement, function and thought) to the body relatively slowly. Injury, trauma, postural distortion or stress cause nerves to speed up their transmission, inhibiting equilibrium and making the body vulnerable to pain and dysfunction. It is therefore necessary to stabilize impaired levels of neurological activity to maintain normal function and overall health.
She also works with a bio-energy tool called the Lymphstar, a non-invasive, lymphatic light therapy device. This machine uses negatively charged frequencies administered through light. The equipment used is a FDA registered medical device. The equipment used to create light frequencies is a form of ultrasound as used in hospitals. Glass heads filled with ionized gas are strategically placed on the body. It affects a swift, safe, non-invasive and natural method to stimulating the lymphatic system and dissolving blockages, helping remove the body of waste and toxins.
Another bioenergy tool Shellan uses is the Valkion, an activated air energy tool used to promote the movement of singlet oxygen through the cell-wall membrane where it can create detoxification and oxygenation of the cell’s organs and functions. All of the pollutants and preservatives that barrage the cellular system of the body create a fibrin coat along the cell’s membrane. Regular oxygen is not able to penetrate the fibrin coat leaving our cells in distress. Singlet air is found to be one of the only methods to pass through the fibrin coat.
Shellan also uses the Photonwave device, a technology from Europe. It pulses narrow band width photons into the eye at a specific frequency. The iris is one of three congenital areas of parasympathetic cells within the body; the other two areas being the auricular ridge of the ear and the naval. This technology has been used for years by therapists to treat allergies, ADD, ADHD, heavy metal toxicity, and emotional blockages. It follows the concept that treating the iris stimulates action in the brain to begin to command the body’s natural healing processes. The stimulation of the retina and optic nerve stimulates the hypothalamus, thereby influencing the endocrine system to balance the hormonal pathways.
Shellan is very passionate about helping clients learn about their own health concerns. She believes that the education that she imparts gives the client the power not only to heal their present condition but also to prevent the situation from reoccurring.
